About the content

This talk was delivered live in June 2017 at AltConf. The video was recorded, produced, and transcribed by Realm, and is published here with the permission of the conference organizers.

Marco Arment

I’m Marco Arment: a programmer, writer, podcaster, geek, and coffee enthusiast.

Casey Liss

I’m a developer, podcaster, and writer living and working in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia, USA.

You may know me from my podcast miniseries with friends Marco Arment and John Siracusa, called Neutral. It ran from January through April of 2013. After we stopped recording Neutral every week, we found ourselves often times talking about technology, as three developers tend to do. Those casual post-show conversations became the Accidental Tech Podcast, which unofficially began in February of 2013, but formally began in March of that year.

John Siracusa

I’m a software developer, podcaster, and freelance technology writer.

I started writing for Ars Technica in 1999, where I reviewed every major release of OS X until 2014. I’ve also written for Macworld and The Magazine.

Today, you can hear me on Accidental Tech Podcast where I talk about Apple and the technology industry, Robot or Not? (self explanatory, really), and Reconcilable Differences where I talk about everything else. I also appear regularly on The Incomparable, a podcast about geeky books, movies, TV, comics, and games.
